Client feedback and testimonials for Thrive
I’d absolutely recommend it. I suspect we’ll be talking about the session in our team meetings for a while. I think given our team has a lot of members of a similar age, it’s made me aware that it’s not likely to be just me. I think this session is also important for the men in our team who might also be supporting their partners at home with menopause. This is something I hadn’t thought of before. I felt it was a really valuable use of my time 😊, thank you Mel.

Claire – Marketing Manager
The topic was not new to me, but the attention that the company is giving it is very encouraging. I’ll probably take away the need for excellent listening and other leadership skills to support the well-being of my team. A very instructive, well-constructed and facilitated course on an important topic that will impact everyone, directly or indirectly, at some time. Thank you, Mel, for a great session.

Ian – Group Head of Digital Colleague Experience
The colleague case studies gave this program so much impact. The fact that these were colleagues in our business who had shared their experiences made it feel relevant to why we are raising awareness and supporting colleagues impacted by menopause. 100% go get yourself booked now!

Jennifer – Team Leader
The personal accounts from colleagues surrounding Menopause were very powerful. I feel I have a much deeper & factual understanding of this topic and am thrilled to have undertaken this course on Menopause awareness Day 😊. Attend! It is freely open to everyone and the content is very clear & inclusive. Fantastic facilitation of the session by Mel. Really engaged and invested in the experience.

Kieran – Team Leader
I really enjoyed the conversations – getting other people’s perspectives and understanding their experiences was really interesting to me. I also felt this helped my own learning. I found the colleague stories incredibly powerful and emotive – I feel each and every one of them are so brave to share their experiences and I sincerely hope they all feel more supported now, as it was clear from each that even more support and education was needed.

It was excellent, really well-paced and resourced, didn’t feel uncomfortable at all despite the stigma surrounding the subject. I will be pushing my team members to attend a course as they will all be affected by Menopause in one way or another in the coming years, and I think completing this now will set them up for these future situations.

I do actually think this should be part of mandatory learning – particularly after learning of some leaders’ responses to colleagues – whilst the majority sound positive, there was one example where the manager clearly did not want to talk to the colleague, and this really bothered me as it didn’t feel acceptable. There are clearly some attitudes/behaviours that still need to be addressed in relation to this topic.

Sarah, Customer Experience Manager
From a personal point of view my wife has started on the journey of menopause and the session was insightful and gave me more knowledge on the subject so I can support her. I would say it was very useful to understand a topic that no one is fully aware of, but a lot of people go through. Mel was brilliant and kept everyone engaged.

Shaun, Customer Relations Manager
I found it interesting to learn the spectrum of symptoms that may occur. It was an enjoyable and engaging session with good use of tools. It’s made me feel more confident in dealing with this in the future.

Emma, Learning Experience Lead
“The session is very beneficial, and everyone should attend, irrespective of age or gender. I really enjoyed the session, loved that it was interactive and thought provoking. Thanks Mel 😊.”

Anita - Team Leader
This session helped me recognise some of the less common symptoms and thinking about making reasonable adjustments other than just giving someone a fan! I loved it. The session was very open and honest, and I felt very comfortable talking about my own issues and experiences. It was very useful in helping me understand how to support others.

Bernadette, Health & Safety Lead
This session helped me understand the verbal and non-verbal cues I need to be cognisant of, both psychological and physical, when working with colleagues. Also, understanding the impact on men as well as women. Learning how to tactfully have conversations when stigma is still attached. Understanding the reasonable adjustments, I can make to help colleagues dealing with symptoms.

Superb. Any scepticism I had, which I shouldn’t have had (!), was blown away and I feel so much more aware and confident as a result.

Neil, Marketing Director
The stories were a real eye opener – there are clearly many colleagues who need our support. Additionally, I found the self-assessment tool was super helpful. This went beyond menopause training – and will help us foster a positive employee culture.

I really enjoyed this session. Mel’s passion for the subject was clear and she kept it ‘real’. This set it apart from other training.

Danni, Head of Customer Engagement
Reading the stories about people in our company was quite emotional as we don’t always know what people are dealing with in their personal lives but it does impact how they feel about work. Fantastic, open session – a must attend for anyone, not just people managers.

Helen, Senior Quality Assurance Manager
